Transformative Minds

How are we best to consider harnessing the collective thought & power of transformative thinking?

Harnessing the collective power of transformative thinking isn’t easy but it’s rewarding!

At a Board level clear strategic intent & the joint creation with the executive team of a permission-full & enabling environment is where it begins.

Cross disciplinary collaboration & open dialogue will  give you the keys to unlock new opportunities.  In a recent project in creating a brand new digital interactive health ecosystem, the bringing together of clinicians, researches, technology specialists & video game developers to enhance the user experience of solutions has signalled that this is a sound approach.

Allowing for experimentation where you treat failure as learning opportunities rather than setbacks will garner positive results as long as that activity is well funded & supported by recognising & celebrating success.

Design & systems thinking frameworks & the concurrent application of prototyping, piloting, fast-fail & iterative testing all contribute to transformative success.

Conflict is good, in some measure – the space where ideas rub up against each other is where the magic is. Healthy debate, problem solving, & facilitated sessions with seasoned practitioners will allow you to uncover the gems that are present.

One-offs don’t stick!!

Establish innovation teams, implement agile & lean practices & stay away from the organisational inertia that is generally present everywhere, albeit to differing degrees.

As leaders in these environments we need to be honest, accountable & transparent – we won’t always get it right but we can show our teams that its fine to make mistaeks & own up to erorrs – just don’t make the same ones twice!!

By combining these strategies, you can harness the collective power of transformative thinking to drive meaningful change & innovation in any organisation or community.
